WASPI and IRMS

The WASPI Service in Digital Health and Care Wales took the spotlight at the Information and Records Management Society Conference 2025 in Birmingham this week (18-20 May). This prestigious event gathered experts from public and private sectors to tackle key issues of data management, information governance, and societal impact of using information and data effectively.

Dave Parsons, the WASPI Code Manager delivered a very well received presentation at the conference about overcoming the barriers to sharing personal data.  The WASPI Service manned an exhibition that was visited by scores of delegates.

The conference marked a significant opportunity for the WASPI framework, which is celebrating its 20th year, to gain further recognition outside Wales for its pivotal role in delivering high-quality, patient and service user centred care through effective and lawful personal data sharing.
